AD 50 "Christ" cup discovered


The English media has not yet picked it up, but a cup has been discovered in Alexandria with the oldest known inscription of Jesus Christ (AD 50): "'Dia Christou o Goistais,' translated as "Through Christ the Magi."

I mean that I enjoy the history of the American South including the Native Americans of Southeast North America, the exploration and colonization of the South by Europeans, the history and culture of Africans and poor Europeans forcibly migrated to the South, the development of the various denominational Christian groups in the South, the developing Native/African/European culture that became known as Southern Culture, the rebellion against Britain in the South, the establishment of a new order as states and then their interaction with a national government, the development of the doctrines of nullification, secessionism, expansion of slavery, removal of Native Americans, evangelical revivals of religion, The War Between the States and Reconstruction, the rise of textiles and the New South, railroads, Jim Crow and segregation's scourge, the shame of lynchings, the development of Southern Pentecostalism, the 20th century wars' affects on the South, the civil rights movements, the Bible Belt and the conservative resurgence among Southern Baptists, agrarian culture, Southern poverty and the depression, and the deep-rooted values and worldviews that led the South to change from the Democratic to Republican parties.
