We had a great
Thy Kingdom Come seminar day at
Amis Chapel today. We took both the Sunday School hour and the worship hour to do the seminar.
During the workshop the congregation gained insight into:
- The need for Spiritual Preparation for kingdom work.
- How Vision and Values translates into kingdom work.
- How God desires results and uses the strengths of the congregation to see kingdom work become a reality.
I was pleased with the presentation and it seemed folks were soaking up the information. Each person had a study guide, and Rev. Ronald Palmer and his wife Sherry were here, the national lead consultant for TKC, to lead the seminar. He has been in ministry 49 years, is 72 years old, and was for many years the State Sunday School director for the
SC Baptist Convention and then the Church Development Director for the state. He has worked with 138 churches on TKC since retiring in 2000.
Sunday school was a high 91 today, up from the average low 70's. After the seminar, we had a large covered dish dinner, and everyone went home happy and full.
I look forward to the months ahead as we seek God's face for our future.
That sounds great! Your church should be excited. You will be able to lead them towards God's vision for them.
