Walk Score Calculator

Our address gets a big fat ZERO out of 100 for walk-ability.

What does that mean? It means that we can't really walk from our house to the park, the grocery store, the theatre, or whatever.

I bet we'd have gotten some points if they'd included churches or private softball fields or cemeteries in the sample! We walk to church every time the doors are open, and a lot of time when they're locked!

It did, however, tell us about some parks, restaurants, and state parks we did not know were so close.

What does your address score?

  1. I believe that walk score is cool, but nowadays more and more people prefer to drive cars. Homes are often located in an area where some establishments are easier to get to by car than on foot. I've recently found a type of service on drivescore.fizber.com which is called Drive Score. It shows a map of what establishments are in your neighborhood and calculates a Drive Score based on the number of places within a convenient driving distance. It doesn’t mean that drive score is better than walk score – they are equal and both necessary in the modern world!
