Raleigh NC Statewide Observance of NDOP

We spent most of the day in Raleigh attending the National Day of Prayer observance at the State Capitol. Ten from our little church attended, and it was a great time of encouragement and prayer together as the Body of Christ.
Don Rayno, that stalwart, faithful leader of Raleigh Concerts of Prayer for many years, presided. We used to serve on the National Prayer Committee together, and he still does.
I also said hello to Linda Stone, the NC State Coordinator of the NDOP and Dr. Chris Schofield, the head of the Office of Prayer for Evangelization and Spiritual Awakening for the NC Baptist State Convention.

After praying for an hour and fifteen minutes, we walked down to eat at Big Ed's, a home cooking restaurant in the City market area near Moore Square. Then the long ride home. It was a great day.
